WHY LEARN HOW TO BUILD YOUR WEBSITE ON YOUR OWN?

Websites are hella expensive. Trust me, I design them for a living. And they are priced right (i guarantee you will have a new respect for the price tag after this course.) But that being said, I also understand not everyone can invest 10k+ into a website right off the bat. With this course, I will show you how to create your own website AND how to keep up with it. After all your website is basically your most laidback and least paid employee, that generates the most return on investment. #truth

DO I EVEN REALLY NEED A WEBSITE?

Yes. The answer is... YES. We are in the 20's guys, everyone and their dog needs a website if you want to keep up with the times and create or continue to thrive as a business or employee in the industry. Stop sleeping on the potential revenue, brand awareness, and opportunitues a website can give you.

SO HERE IS THE BREAKDOWN

MODULE 1 - DEEPDIVE: 

If you have taken one of my courses before, then you know we always start with intentions. I am a firm believer that the energy and intentions you set behind a project will reap the results you are looking for. Why are you doing this? What caused you to invest? What are your goals -- the small high fives or big and juicy champagne toast goals?! This module will help you gain clarity before we just start throwing glitter on a piece of paper and hoping it sticks.

MODULE 2 - CONTENT: 

In this module, we will be diving deep into the content for the website. It may feel like busy work - but I promise it's not. Everything we gather and write and create in this module will be key elements for our website content. Sure, we are going to learn how to create a BEAUTIFUL website in this course -- but we also want our website to be an asset to our business. Consider it your lowest paid and highest-earning employee. So let's get down to business and make some more cash flow, k?

MODULE 3 - THE PLATFORM: 

Squarespace is great for -- designers, photographers, salons, estheticians, and basically anyone who is wanting to showcase services, a portfolio, blog writing, and booking appointments.

Shopify is great for -- boutiques, artists selling products, merch lines, and basically, anyone selling any sort of physical or digital product to customers.

MODULE 4 - MARKETING: 

Now that your website is complete, let's talk marketing. How do we get people to your site? How do we monetize our content? How do we keep people on your website and create a rad place on the internet that people can't stay away from? Let me show you. The potential ideas we can implement into your website are endless. Let's chat, k? 

MODULE 5 - PLANNING: 

What now? In this module, we are going to discuss moving forward. Let's keep your website updated and a fun place for people to spend time, get to know you, and convert into paying customers and clients. Should you be hiring an in-house employee to run it for you? Is it performing well? Do you have dead links? We didn't just create her to forget about her -- so let's make sure we nurture this project from here on out.

DESIGN ACADEMY:

In this design course, we focus on the program known as Adobe Illustrator, aka the love of my life. The program is 8 weeks long and we start work by getting familiar with the program, learning where the tools are, going over designer jargon, learning quick keys and working smarter not harder. There will be a weekly video/class with FUN AF anti-hustle homework to go along with each topic. By the end of the 8 week course, you will have developed a freaking brand board! Everything that goes into making a brand will teach you the ins and outs of an illustrator. (See below for class syllabus!) You get to decide if this brand you create is for you, for a friend, just for practice/fun or for portfolio purposes! In this course we hyperspeed a graphic designer focused associates decree into an 8 week course. Cutting out all the BS.

 Having 5 years of college experience and a Bachelors Degree in Graphic and Web design from The Art Institute of Phoenix. And 10+ years in the industry freelancing and working with companies to up level their business with aligned design. I’ve been using Adobe Illustrator for 15 years, starting very very young (have I aged myself yet?) and I am ready to teach you everything I know.

•  8 weekly pre-recorded hour-long zoom classes: includes video, audio, and/or pdf downloads
•  Anti hustle homework each week: anti-hustle homework is pass or fail, no letter grades! And assignments are fun. This is where you will get the most value for the course.
